What Do Business Operations Managers Do?


Business operations managers are responsible for overseeing a company's day-to-day operations and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. This position can be mentally demanding as it must be able to deal with any problems that arise without constant monitoring.

Business operations managers should maintain healthy relationships with their superiors and underlying employees, who may still learn and maintain the morale of all employees. This position usually requires a degree in economics and / or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational and planning skills as well as experience with Microsoft Excel are extremely helpful. Although the hours for this position can vary, business operations managers should expect to work on a full-time program that requires strong work ethic and the ability to think quickly to solve problems.
